

James Henry Campbell, age 99, of Georgetown, passed away on May 24, 2016. He was born on August 7, 1916 in Ellsworth, Wisconsin to Henry Charles and Henrietta Margaret (Hanson) Campbell. James served his country honorably in the United States Navy as a pilot during World War II. He was a resident of Georgetown, Texas, and had formerly resided in Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Verna May (Guilbeau) Campbell; his children, Annette Currah and husband Mitch of Austin, James C. Campbell and wife Mary of Casper, Wyoming, and Nelda Currah and husband Dan of Austin; his grandchildren, Tom Currah and wife Raquel of Austin, Jennifer Kelley and husband Steve of Windsor, Colorado, James P. Campbell and wife Vicki of Chesapeake, Virginia, Jeffrey Campbell and wife Stephanie of Casper, Wyoming, Jon Currah and wife Kellie of Austin, and Julie Moberg and husband Sunny of Austin; great-grandchildren, Hugh, Mason, and Campbell Currah of Austin, Rachel and Ben Campbell of Chesapeake, Virginia, Jacob Campbell of Casper, Wyoming, Jessica Currah of Austin, and Cody and Rory Moberg of Austin; and his nephew, Bart Christenson of Dallas.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at the Worship Place at Sun City, 811 Sun City Blvd., Georgetown. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
