He was born on October 8, 1963 in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He was an Army brat and moved around to many places, including Germany. He came back to the states and settled in Fayetteville, North Carolina. James graduated from Westover High School in Fayetteville. He continued his education at Fayetteville Technical College for two years. He continued his learning of management and business by reading many books by Zigler, Carnegie and more.
He met and married his wife, Coleen (Cronen) Mastrianni in Fayetteville, where they lived until 1997. He was a manager and pawn broker at Parker Pawn from 1984 until 1997. They both moved out to Austin, Texas to seek new opportunities.
He worked with Bob Brock as a consultant for Maverick Business Services. He then moved on into the role of manager for Academy Sports and Outdoors for 16 years. His last job was at Tarrytown Pharmacy, where he was the manager for three years.
With every place and job, Jim made fast and true friends. He has touched many lives and has made the world a better place. He was ALWAYS willing to lend a hand or find a way to help if needed. He enjoyed finding the humor in life and the humor about ourselves. He was a light that was snuffed out too soon. He is with God enjoying endless buffet and jamming to his 70’s tunes.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Yasuko Mastrianni; his wife, Coleen Mastrianni; his brother, John Mastrianni; his sisters, Jean Knies and Judy Stage; his nephew, Morgan Stage; his niece, Angelina Knies; and a host of relatives, friends and coworkers.
A Celebration of Life for James will be held Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
