Jane Amelia Kaune

Jane was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Rost G. Kaune, Sr.; one of her sons and daughter-in-law, Brant and Jan Kaune, and a grandson, Raul Sosa, Jr. (Little Roy).

She is survived by eight children: Rost G. Kaune, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Dale, TX, Paul H. Kaune and his wife Joanne of Dover, PA, Mark W. Kaune and his wife Diane of Augusta, GA, Scott L. Kaune and his wife Nancy of Gales Ferry, CT, Tracy K. Sosa and her husband Raul Sr., of Austin, TX, Craig L. Kaune of Dubuque, IA, Andrew K. Kaune and his wife Jennny of Phoenix, AZ, and Penny L. DeGroat and her husband Robert of Ashville, NC.

She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Weidenbacher of Dubuque, IA; sister-in-law, Louis Ellwagner of Dubuque, IA; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Jane was married to Rost on 12 October 1946 in Dubuque, IA where she lived until 1983 when they moved to Austin. She was a loving dedicated mother in her many endeavors while raising nine children; she was a Cub Scout Den Mother, a sales clerk at J.C. Penney, an aide at Jullian Dubuque Senior High, along with several other positions.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, 4 February 2016 at Cook-Walden Capital Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, 5 February 2016 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Memorial Chapel.
