She was born on Friday, March 29, 1957, to Sidney and Alice Piper in Austin, Texas, at Brackenridge Hospital.
Putting herself through college, she worked to the level Equipment Engineer for over 37 years until her retirement.
She married Gene Young in March of 1979, and together they shared a blessed 47 years. Having two sons, Gene and Adam Young.
Janice is preceded in death by her son, Gene Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Sr.; son, Adam; five grandchildren; her brother, Vincent; and sisters, Lavern, Argner, Esther, Cherry and Carolyn.
A Funeral will be held at Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas, on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 12:00PM. The burial will follow directly after the service.
