Our beloved Jarvi Orochena, age 70, was called to our Heavenly Father and was unexpectedly transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, from complications related to the Coronavirus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodolfo Orochena, and Maria Mojica Ruiz; his parent-in-laws, Doroteo Gomez, and Alvara Pecina Leal.
Jarvi Orochena was born on February 20, 1950, in Managua, Nicaragua, to Rodolfo Orochena, and Maria Mojica Ruiz. He came to Texas from Nicaragua and married the love of his life, Catalina Orochena in 1982. Jarvi grew up to have a great passion for cooking. He was an exceptional Chef and his love for cooking was expressed in the beautiful art he created with food. He loved to talk about all his experiences as a Chef and would always give advice on how to best prepare food. We love and miss him.
Jarvi is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Catalina Orochena; his sisters, Dolores and husband Francisco Julio Acevedo, and Adela Orochena; his Aunt Maria Teresa Mojica Melgar; his nieces and nephews Martha and husband Jesus P. Velazquez, Jessica and husband Gregory Soto, Francisco Javier Acevedo, Maria del Carmen Orochena, Salvador Orochena, Juan Luis Orochena, Jarvi Jose Orochena, his sister-n-laws Irene Gomez, Maria del Pilar Gomez, Elpidia and husband Jose Martinez, his nieces and nephews Gerardo and wife Karina Gomez, Dariel and wife Claudia Gomez, Christian Gomez, Ariana Martinez, Jose Javier Martinez, and many other loving family and friends.

Nuestro amado Jarvi Orochena, de 70 años, fue llamado por nuestro Padre Celestial y trasladado inesperadamente para estar con nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo el Martes 7 de Julio del 2020, debido a complicaciones relacionadas con el Coronavirus. Le precedieron en muerte sus padres, Rodolfo Orochena y María Mojica Ruiz; sus suegros, Doroteo Gómez, y Alvara Pecina Leal.
Jarvi Orochena nació el 20 de Febrero de 1950 en Managua, Nicaragua, hijo de Rodolfo Orochena y Maria Mojica Ruiz. Llegó a Texas desde Nicaragua y se casó con el amor de su vida, Catalina Orochena, en 1982. Jarvi creció teniendo una gran pasión por la cocina. Fue un chef excepcional y su amor por la cocina se expresó en el hermoso arte que creó con la comida. Le encantaba hablar sobre todas sus experiencias como chef y siempre daba consejos sobre cómo preparar mejor la comida. Lo amamos y lo extrañamos.
Le sobreviven a Jarvi su amada esposa por 38 años, Catalina Orochena; sus hermanas, Dolores y esposo Francisco Julio Acevedo, y Adela Orochena; su tía María Teresa Mojica Melgar; sus sobrinas y sobrinos Martha y esposo Jesús P.
