Jay Brian "Bird" Rud

Jay “Bird” Brian Rud, 62, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away December 19th, 2019 from cancer. He was born in St. Peter, MN on November 19th, 1957. Jay graduated from Mayo High School in Rochester, MN in 1976 and received his HVAC Certificate from Rochester Community and Technical College.

He was the Lead HVAC Technician for Austin Community Campuses.

He was an avid bow hunter and had a passion for fishing. He was able to get one last tuna fishing trip in last November. Jay was loved by everyone that knew him and he was the go to guy for anything that needed fixing.

He is survived by a brother, Kevin (Laura) Rud of Rochester, MN and sister, Norma Jean Chambers of Round Rock, Tx. He is also survived by nephews, Curt Anderson and Scott (Nikkilynn) Rud, a niece, Angela Davis, as well as great nephews Jaxon, Jagger, and Jordan and great nieces Peyton and Katelynn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard, mother Phyllis, and brother Steven Rud .

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, December 26th at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home.
