

Jean Doyle, 76, of Austin, died January 19, 2014. She was born on July 6, 1937 in Fayetteville Texas, the daughter of Rudolph and Lillie Foyt. Jean married the love of her life, Patrick Doyle, on October 18, 1958. They met while working at the City of Austin where she was a secretary and he was a draftsman. After many years of service Jean retired from the State of Texas in 2002.
Jean will always be remembered for her infinite love to her family and friends and constant support she gave to all who knew her. Some of her greatest joy came from attending and supporting her sons and granddaughters activities from baseball, kickball, softball to dance. She could always be found in the stands cheering them on as she was their number one fan. In addition, she enjoyed cooking for her family and was lovingly referred to as “Granny’s Meals on Wheels.” She enjoyed volunteering at the senior citizens home and participating in school activities as president of the PTA at Brentwood Elementary School and McCallum High School athletics booster club. She was full of life and love.
Jean is survived by her husband of 55 years, Patrick Doyle; sons, Scott Doyle and wife Jana Doyle, Mitchell Doyle and wife Cathy; granddaughters, Ashley, Cayleigh, McKenna and Carly Doyle; sister-in-laws, Vernell Foyt, Edith Doyle and Geneva Doyle and brother-in-law, Raymond Harkey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Lilly Foyt; sister, Lavern and husband Fred Miller; brother, Leroy and wife Hazel Foyt; brother, Rudy Foyt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edward Doyle and Ella Doyle; brother-in-laws, George and John Doyle; brother-in-law, Bobby Doyle and wife Mary; sister in law, Ruth and husband Roy Drousche; sister-in-laws, Dorothy Sims and Mary Richards. Jean is also survived by many family members and faithful friends.
The family will receive guests at Cook Walden-Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, 14501 North IH-35 on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with burial following at the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
