Jenya was born in Abakan, Russia on March 8th, 1993 as Evgenia Shilova to Ira Shilova. At the age of 11, she was adopted by her loving parents Donna Wysocki and Richard Mealer. She was brought to America were she had a joyfull childhood with her sisters, Natasha and Alina.
Jenya's life changed again when she meet and fell in love with Cody Kurtz in 2014. Jenya and Cody married on February 29th 2016. She was a wonderful, loving and caring wife to Cody and stepmother to Skyler, who she adored.
Jenya loved animals of all kinds and was always trying to bring home another animal to care for. She would say, "someone gave me a home once when I needed it." Her huge heart will be deeply missed by her four dogs, Lucky dog, Cooper, L.E. and Nubby. She also loved to crochet, play video games, read, go hiking, visit the ocean or the lake, get tattooed, play with her nephews, baking. She wanted to become a medical assistant and had recently rediscovered her faith. Jenya will be fondly remembered by her family and many friends.
A celebration of Jenya's life will be held on Wednesday, January 30th at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home at 4:00 p.m. 14501 North Interstate Hwy 35 Pflugerville, Texas. 78660.
