Jerry! just the mention of his name brings a smile to our faces and a warmth to our hearts! he was a deeply spiritual man and we loved him for that. he was a kind heart and a gentle soul...God made him that way. we loved him. we love him still. a great man has gone to a great reward today. all heaven must be rejoicing to add him to those who wait under the altar for the end of time. goodbye, dear friend, we will miss u so much.

My PawPaw was a constant source of support throughout my life. We lived next door to him my entire childhood until I moved away to college. He never missed a birthday party, a school function, or a sporting event. It didn't matter how far away it was, or how long it would take. We could always count on my PawPaw being there to support us. I'm so grateful that my two daughters got the chance to know and love PawPaw the way I do. They loved him so much, and were always so excited to go visit him, but nobody was as excited as PawPaw was when he got to see those girls. When my youngest daughter Layla was first learning how to talk, she always wanted to call Papa and Gigi and talk to them on the phone. Most of the time she would just walk around with the phone to her ear not even saying anything, but she would cry when it was time to hang up. I would just assure her that we could call and talk to PawPaw tomorrow, and her tears would dry. I've told my girls that Heaven has a magic phone and we can still call and talk to PawPaw anytime. I know, because I've already called him twice today.
