Jesus Natividad Franco of Round Rock, Texas, was born in Brownsville, Texas, on December 25, 1942, to parents Juanita Martinez Franco and Luis Fernando Franco. When Jesus was a young toddler, the family moved to Mart, Texas. He was number nine of ten siblings.
Jesus passed peacefully on September 19, 2025. He was 82 years old.
He is preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings, and stepson, JP Cantu.
He is survived by his wife, Emilia Irene Franco; daughter, Patricia Franco (Gerry); sons, Mario Franco and Carlos Franco (Kendall); stepson, Stehen Cantu (Lisa); mother-in-law, Mary Barron; nine grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces. He had many friendships and a walking partner- a cat named Colonel Mustard.
Jesus enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, camping, reading, buying and fixing old cars, and teaching grandchildren to fish.
Jesus Franco grew up in Mart, Texas, and graduated from Mart High School. He served as class secretary in his final year. He was still in contact with classmates.
Jesus Franco graduated from Southwest Texas in San Marcos, Texas, and retired from (TRC) Texas Rehabilitation Commission as a fraud examiner and auditor.
Jesus Franco was deeply committed to education, encouraging his grandchildren to attend college and helping them secure scholarships.
After his retirement, he conducted city, state, and federal elections as a clerk and judge.
Jesus Franco was very active in the community of Round Rock, and at the Allan Baca Senior Center, was a member of the AARP Chapter in Round Rock, was a member of Round Rock El Amistad Club, A member of the local legend committee, participated in the officer promotional board for the Round Rock Police Department, and helped displaced families find housing.
Jesus attended City Council meetings to provide input or simply observe.

A visitation for Jesus will be held Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
The funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Walden Room of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home.
The interment will immediately follow in the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
