Joe Jaime, Jr., age 48, passed away July 3, 2020 following a brief illness. Joe was born on August 26, 1971 in Austin, Texas to Jose and Valeria (Trejo) Jaime. He graduated from Del Valle High School and then attended Austin Community College where he graduated in 1995 with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. In 1997, Joe graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas State University. Joe was very active while attending Texas State University, serving Vice President of the Minority Criminal Justice Association; member of Alpha Phi Sigma, Criminal Justice Honor Society.
Joe was an avid sports enthusiast, especially when it came to the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He also enjoyed fishing and listening to country and western music. His greatest joy was spending time with his daughter, Jazmine, and his parents and sisters. The truth be known, Joe would do anything for his daughter and family. He had a great big personality and a wonderful sense of humor that endeared people to him and always put a smile on their face. Joe never met a stranger and genuinely loved everyone. He didn’t have a judgmental bone in his body. When it came to work, Joe was always the first to arrive and the last to leave. He was greatly admired for his work ethic, his fun loving demeanor and his genuine care and concern for everyone.
Joe is survived by his parents, Jose and Valeria Jaime; daughter, Jazmine Jaime; sisters, Yolanda Dominguez and her husband Ruben Dominguez and Sally Jaime and her husband George Coronado; niece, Veronica Dominguez; nephew, Georgie Coronado, Jr. and his wife Sandy Coronado; and half-siblings, Rebeca Lopez, Refugio Jaime, Teresa Delgado and Jose Jaime.
