Joseph Christopher Allen Sr.

Joseph Allen, Sr. was born to Ozell Allen and Julia Hardison Allen on August 10, 1980, in Torrance, California he was the youngest of four sons. Joseph attended school in Long Beach, California. He was called to his eternal home on November 28, 2017.

He moved to Austin, Texas and became a member of Promiseland Church located on 51st Street. While attending church there, he dedicated his life to Christ, and at the age of 19, he was baptized.

He was later united in marriage, to his high school sweet heart, Crystal Smith Allen for 22 years. During this union they were blessed with 4 lovely children. Treanna Allen, Joseph Allen, Jr., Joshua Allen, and Mahalia Allen. He was a loving, supportive, devoted father and husband. We took pleasure in watching Joseph put his great talents to work, during meal time. He took great pride and pleasure in showing off while cooking on the grill. Joseph had quite an appetite for some good juicy smoked Bar B Que.

He looked forward to cooking for his family and friends, then watching the faces of pleasantry as they would eat with great satisfaction and the desire for more. He bragged on his daddy’s cooking. Oh how he looked with great delight, and waited with great anticipation when his dad cooked steaks and gravy. Now, he really bragged on his mother’s greens. Joseph looked forward to eating his mother’s greens, and would request them often. He really enjoyed this meal to the last bite.

Joseph looked forward to spending time with his family, and friends not only cooking, but playing chess, dominoes, cards, and enjoying his music. He treasured his family, and friends. He wore such an amazing smile which sparkled from the inside out. He had a special touch for everyone he met. Joseph will be truly missed by his family, and friends.

Joseph leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife Crystal Allen, four children, Treonna Allen, Joseph Allen, Jr, Joshua Allen, Mahalia Allen, father; Ozell Allen, mother; Julia Allen, stepmother; Sheila Allen, brothers; Ozell Allen, Jr (aka OJ), Jeremiah Allen, Fredrick Allen, wife (Rebecca), Anthony Allen, wife (Myeisha Allen) and a host of Aunts, Uncles Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
