Dr. Julie Ann Krapfel, born and raised in Houston, Texas, passed away on Friday, May 31st, 2024. A 2007 graduate of Lamar High School, Julie embarked on a life filled with a passion for science. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 2011 with her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with a minor in biology, and it was there in Lubbock that she met the love of her life, Ravi. Fueled by a desire to help others, Julie then pursued a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida in 2015. After graduation, she became a board-certified pharmacist in both Texas and Colorado, dedicating her career to serving children at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center. She was the beloved mother of Neil, cherished wife of Ravi Tekchandani, and adored twin sister of Cindy Beville. Her loss is deeply felt by her father George Krapfel, brother David Monte and his wife Jeana, mother-in-law Neeta Tekchandani, nieces and nephews Peyton, Camden, Ashlyn, Waylon, brother-in-law John Beville, and countless friends, family, and colleagues.
Julie's commitment to her profession was matched by her devotion to her family. She fulfilled her dreams as a pharmacist, bringing comfort and healing to countless children and their families. She frequently was just one phone call away, offering medical advice to friends and family. Beyond her professional life, Julie volunteered her time to support others and humanitarian efforts.
Outside of work, Julie loved adventure and spontaneity. She enjoyed nature, camping, and traveling. A devoted Disney fan, she found joy in the magic of imagination. Her love for creating memories with friends and family was limitless, often crashing in on others' trips and vacations.
Julie had a remarkable way of embracing those she cared about with the warmest, strongest hugs imaginable. Her hugs weren't just physical gestures; they were expressions of her deep love and genuine affection. And as she held you close, there was something uniquely comforting about the way she would gently inhale, as if savoring the essence of the moment and committing it to memory.
Julie's love for her three-year-old son Neil was boundless, evident in every giggle-filled moment they shared. From playful games to bedtime stories, Julie poured her heart into nurturing Neil, guiding him with unconditional affection. Neil was the center of her universe.
Julie's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her. Her spirit of adventure, kindness, and love will continue to inspire us. As she reunites with her mother Donna in heaven, may she find eternal peace. Farewell, dear Julie, your sunshine will forever brighten our hearts.
