

Mrs. Bills was born on June 4, 1915 to Thomas C. and Zona Howerton Ward in Pflugerville. She graduated from Pflugerville High School and attended Mary Hardin Baylor. On June 2, 1942 she was married to Samuel E. Bills in Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years in 1993, and a son, Robert R. Bills in 1974, her daughter Brenda Bills in September 2006 and a brother Norvell Ward and wife Mildred Ward.
She is survived by a grandson Kristopher Watters and partner Vikki, great-grandson Mason Watters, one brother Melvin Ward and wife Phyllis, sister-in-law Miriam Bills of Mt. Pleasant, two nephews, Phil and Lindy Ward of Austin and Mel and Peggy Ward of Sugarland, dear friends and cousins Betty and Jerry Mueller, 3 nieces and many cousins.
Mrs. Bills was an active member of Chapel of the Hills Baptist Church where she served for many years as Pianist and S.S. Teacher. She also was active in her community activities, member of Eastern Star and Friends of Hospice. Mrs. Bills loved music, her family, her friends, The Texas Longhorns and The Lord.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks in Pflugerville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
Serving Mrs. Bills as honorary pallbearers will be Phil Ward, Mel Ward, Marvin Curb, Tom Ward, Clifford Ward, and Vernon Davis.
