

After graduating from Waco High School, she attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. She returned to Waco, met Airman Frederick Alan Hoke, Sr, and married on April 6, 1957.
June was a proud military wife and enjoyed traveling with Fred throughout his time in the Air Force while raising their two children, Jill and Freddie. They had been stationed at James Connally AFB, Waco, TX; Yokota AB, Japan; Eglin AFB, Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Davis-MT AFB, Tucson, AZ, Randolph AFB, San Antonio, TX, Dyess AFB, Abilene, TX, Bergstrom AFB, Austin, TX.
June was a Cameron Road Church of Christ secretary for ten years before retiring. She was also involved in the World Bible School for twenty-plus years, where she corresponded with people worldwide, spreading the Lord's word. She also sat on the local Huntington's Disease Society board for years.
June was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Bertha Berry, brother Jerry, daughter Jill Ann Bravo, and husband Frederick Alan Hoke, Sr.
June is survived by her son, Fred Hoke, Jr., and wife, Christina; sister, Jane Neece, and husband, Art; her two grandchildren, Jill and Chloe; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In place of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of June to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition or the American Lung Association (in memory of husband Frederick A. Hoke, Sr).
A visitation for June will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas, and followed by a funeral service (to be live streamed) will occur at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023. The committal service will follow the funeral service at Oakwood Cemetery, 2124 S. 5th St., Waco, Texas 76706, at 2:00 p.m.
