Katharine Edith Terry, age 89, of Round Rock, Texas, passed away on February 5, 2023. She was born on September 22, 1933 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to parents John Gadberry, Sr. and Eva Redmond-Gadberry.
The family moved to Los Angeles, California where Katharine grew up and later attended and graduated from UCLA. She became a kindergarten teacher, a profession she excelled in for more than 30 years.
Married, she and her family moved to East Texas and after retirement to Round Rock, Texas. Katharine attended Shoreline Church and led the weekly intercession prayer group. She also led a Sunday evening Bible study in her home. She enjoyed entertaining and used her gift of hospitality to minister to women by hosting annual luncheons in the Summer and Girls' Night In gatherings during the Fall. She was a member of Round Rock's New Neighbors and Red Hat Society.
Katharine is preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Roberts, and John Gadberry, Jr. She is survived by a sister, Janet Johnson, children Rodney and Alicia Terry, and children through marriage Karen and Kenny Terry.
