Kathleen (Kathy) Cecilia Whitmarsh, age 74, passed away on June 5, 2020. Kathy was born on April 19, 1946 in Houston, Texas to Laurence and Catherine Harris. She graduated from Incarnate Word High School in 1965 and married the love of her life, Kenneth A. Whitmarsh on June 5, 1965. They had two sons, Kenneth E. Whitmarsh and Phillip Whitmarsh and lived in the Houston area until moving to Austin in 1981.
Kathy worked for Walmart and Sam’s Club for many years. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She was the third of seven siblings – Margaret Ann Penna, Laurence (Butch) Harris, Michael Harris, Susan Jackson, Mary Whatley and Ann Soletto. Kathy was a loving grandmother to Trevor, Jackie, Valerie and Josh in addition to being an aunt to many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2020 at Cook-Walden/Capital Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
