Ken Chong was born on May 23, 1963, in Seoul, Korea. From a young age, he dreamed boldly and lived with a courage that would guide him throughout his life. In 1987, he bravely immigrated to the United States, making Texas his home and beginning a new chapter filled with hope and determination.
Ken was an extraordinary person loving, generous, and full of spirit. A true film buff, he had a deep love for movies and storytelling. He also had a lifelong affection for animals and a gentle heart that made every creature feel safe in his presence.
He lived by a simple but powerful belief: look forward and keep going; mistakes will be made, but it’s how you continue that matters. He carried this wisdom throughout his life and shared it freely with those he loved.
Ken was devoted to his family. A proud family man, he lived for his wife and daughter, raising his child with unwavering dedication and love. He found joy in the everyday drinking coffee each morning, watching his favorite films, and making memories that will last forever.
His hobbies brought him happiness and connection. He adored cars and, above all, he loved golf. Golf was his favorite pastime, especially when played alongside friends who became like family. Those who knew him will remember his kindness, his humor, and his ability to make others smile no matter the circumstance.
Ken had a big heart always putting others before himself and ensuring those around him felt cared for, seen, and supported. His warmth, laughter, and love will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
He will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
A funeral service for Ken will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, TX at 2 PM.
