Kimberly Ann Keepers, age 40 of Austin, TX went to be with the Lord July 13, 2016 at Christopher House Hospice with her mother at her side. She was known as Kimberly, Kim, "Kimmy", "Kimmie", and "Lady".
Kim was born in 1975 to Kathy and Keith Keepers. She graduated from LBJ High School Science Academy in 1993. Kim loved sports and played basketball and volleyball in high school and later played basketball at Western Texas College in Snyder and at TCU in Fort Worth. Kim had many interests. She loved all genres of music and became friends with many musicians. One of her favorite places to meet up with friends and listen to reggae music was Flamingo Cantina. Kim had a great eye for a camera and was a great photographer. She was also creative artistically with arts and crafts, and everything she touched. The most important interest for Kim was family, friends, and animals. She knew how to love well and was a friend to many. She lived out 1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Kim will be remembered for her love of friends and family. Her nieces, nephew, and friends children thought of her as the "fun" aunt. She believed kids need to have a safe place and someone they could confide in. Kim always sought out and made time for them. For friends and family, Kim was always a kind and generous woman to all and will be deeply missed.
She had a career as a Bridal Consultant for many years. Kim also worked as the Executive Assistant at a restaurant in Austin. At the time Kim was the owner’s right hand and had an integral role in managing the restaurant. A satisfying part of Kim's job was to schedule musicians to play at the restaurant and to ensure the family and pets were well taken care of.
Kim is survived by her mother, Kathy Keepers; father, Keith, stepmother, Joy Keepers; one brother, Troy (Ricca) Keepers; nieces and nephew, Sabrinna, Lily, Kylie, and Brendan; aunts and uncles: Christine Malcher and Robert P.
