He was born on February 10, 1935, in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Lawrence and Philomena (Peschka) Irsik. He attended college at the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated in 1958. He also attended the University of Northern Colorado, where he graduated in 1972.
Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Norbert Irsik, Steve Irsik, and Clarence Irsik and five sisters, Elsie Vogel, Helen Gerber, Jude Shriwise, Pat Goebel and Manie Gibbons.
He is survived by his children, Venice (John) Sherman of Manor, TX, Larry (Amelia) Irsik of Austin, TX, Mary Scarmeas of Austin, TX, Mark Irsik of Austin, TX and Jay Irsik of LaGrange, NC; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
