Leona Spellman Dixon

At age 17 she married Norman Dixon, who served as a Texas Ranger from 1937 into the 1950’s. After he passed away in 1992, Leona lived independently in her home until the age of 95 when she suffered a stroke. During the past year she lived at Buckner Villas where she enjoyed the companionship of the other residents and was lovingly cared for by the staff.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Sisters Elma White and Gladys James, and her Brothers Audley Spellman and Clyde Spellman.

Survivors include Son Kemp Dixon and wife Lea Ann, Son Kenneth Dixon and wife Judy, Grandchildren Jennifer Dixon Emmons and husband Jim, Jeff Dixon and Wife Leslie, Lance Dixon, Jana Dixon Cormack and Todd Dixon and wife Brooke, Great-Grandchildren Zachary Torres and wife Bonnie, Caitlin Emmons, Emily Cormack, Jake Emmons and Julianne Dixon; Great-Great-Grandchild Lila Jane Torres; and Sister Tommie Spellman Bullock.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 11:00am in the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 N. IH-35, Pflugerville, Texas.
