He was a laborer worker for D & A Wire Rope for 35 years. After his retirement, he kept busy by keeping the grounds at Amaya’s Taco Village North clean and tidy. He tried to leave every person, place, or thing better than he found it.
Leoncio was preceded in death by his parents Ascencion Hernandez and Felipa Hernandez, his daughter Sylvia Hernandez, granddaughter Leigh Ann Stewart, great-granddaughter Chrisiah Ann Marie Hernandez, and son-in-law David Valdez.
He is survived by his loving wife Celia Hernandez, children Laura Amaya (and spouse David), Leoncio “Chato” Hernandez, Ana Stewart, Sonia Hernandez Colunga (and spouse Ray), and Jacqueline Valdez (and spouse David); 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; a host of siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many friends.

A visitation for Leoncio will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 7, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., at the same location, with burial to follow at Cook Walden-Capital/Parks Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Christopher Hernandez, Jonathan Hernandez, Leoncio "Tito" Hernandez III, Eric Lopez, Collin Stewart and Matthew Amaya.
