

Linda was born in Boise, Idaho, on February 14, 1942, to Clara H. Miller and William A. Miller. She spent her childhood in Boise, and graduated from Boise High School in 1960. Linda was one the youngest of five children. She obtained her RN at Methodist Hospital of Dallas, School of Nursing. Linda joined the U.S. Air Force in 1965 as an Operating Room Nurse, holding position of Captain. She was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 1974. After several years of being a stay home mom, she went to work at Bailey Square Surgery Center in 1985. Linda was the OR Director for 25 years until she retired in 2010 to be with her four grandchildren.
Linda was actively involved in Austin Area AORN and the Pflugerville Seniors organization. She loved Elvis, Regis, Jeopardy, Raspberries, “Gone with the Wind”, Shirley Temple, The Statler Brothers and choir music.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Corn in Starr, Idaho; her daughters and their families, DaLynn & Shane Prather, Peyton and Brody Prather; Danielle & Pete Otero, Kendall and Kobi Otero of Pflugerville.
She will always be remembered as an amazing friend, sister, nurse, mom and grandma. She will be in our hearts always and never forgotten.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Linda’s life. Services will be held on Friday, July 10th at 4:00 pm, at Cook- Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, located at 14501 North IH-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
