Linda Kay Johnson was born on September 15th, 1947 to the late Orval Wayne Roberts and Flo Juanell Hibbitts Roberts in Graham, Texas.
After Linda graduated from Graham High School in 1966, she moved to Dallas, Texas, and a month later began her 35-year career at State Farm Insurance, where she worked in both the Dallas and Austin offices. In 1966 she met James Allen Johnson and they married in 1967. Linda and James enjoyed 50 years together before his passing in 2017.
Over the years Linda had numerous hobbies, her favorite being ceramics at which she excelled. She made and gifted many beautiful ceramic pieces to family and friends.
Linda was predeceased by her husband, James Allen Johnson; her parents, Orval Roberts and Flo Roberts; her step-mother, Willie Ruth Roberts; and sisters, Virginia Davis and Rhonda Allen.
Linda is survived by her brother, Michael Roberts and wife, Jan; brother, Bryan Roberts and wife, Pam; sister, Laurie Morrison and husband, Gerald; and brother, Jackie Holman and wife, Amy. Linda is also survived by her son, Chris Johnson and his wife, Cherry; grandchildren, J.C. Johnson and wife, Heather, Bryan Johnson, David Johnson, Casey Johnson, and J.J. Smith; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Shane, Dylan, Aubree, C.J., Drew and Clay.
Linda’s family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Double Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care for the professional care given to Linda during her 2018 to 2021 residence. The family would also like to thank the caregivers and chaplains from Magnolia Hospice and Traditions Health for the compassionate care provided to Linda and the support provided to her family.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
