Linda was the kind of person who put her heart into everything she did. She loved deeply, gave freely, and always showed up for the people she cared about. Whether it was through her warm smile, her listening ear, or her quiet strength, Linda had way of making others feel safe and loved.
Linda’s faith was an important part of her life and carried her through both joyful and difficult seasons. She trusted in the Lord and found comfort in knowing that this life was not the end, but a beautiful beginning of eternal peace.
While our hearts are broken, we find reassurance knowing she is now healed, whole, and resting in God’s presence.
Linda’s greatest joy was her family and church family. She was a devoted mother to Tammy Franz of Elgin, Texas and Ronnie Norwood and wife Amanda Norwood of Academy, Texas; and proud grandmother to Cody Franz and wife Kearstin Franz of Manor, Texas, Melinda Sessoms and wife Sammy Sessoms of Austin, Texas, Shayd Norwood and Jayden Norwood of Academy, Texas and Ruby Pickett of Belton, Texas. She was an active member of 3C Cowboy Church in Salado, Texas.
Linda was a devoted sister to Brenda Guthrie and husband Curtis Guthrie of Austin, Texas and the late Danny Altum.
Linda’s love for her family was fierce, selfless, and unwavering. She leaves behind countless memories that will be cherished forever.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas (Buster) Altum and Vera Altum Hyatt and her brother, Danny Altum, and her nephew, Gary Guthrie.
She is survived by her children, siblings, grandchildren, nephews, and many friends who were blessed to know her.
A celebration of life service will be held on February 17, 2026, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas at 10:00 a.m.
Linda will be deeply missed, but her love, faith and legacy will live on in all of us until we meet again.
