

Born on July 20, 1945, in Austin, Texas, Linda was the eldest child of Cecil and Della Herrin and a loving sister to her younger brothers, Bobby and Sonny. She was the first in her family to attend the University of Texas, earning a degree in Elementary Education. In 1975, she relocated to Houston with her former husband, Wesley. Linda worked as a court stenographer in Houston but devoted herself to her family, raising her children with unwavering love and dedication.
Linda's sweet and gentle nature, fun-loving spirit, and positive demeanor endeared her to all who knew her. She had a gift for quilting and sewing, leaving behind many beautiful pieces that will be cherished by her loved ones for many years to come. In earlier years, she enjoyed sailing and remained an avid reader throughout her life. Linda also loved singing, and her beautiful voice will be deeply missed.
She is lovingly remembered by her son, Mark, and his wife, Pam; her beloved grandchildren, Devin and Kaila; her brothers, Bobby and Sonny, and Sonny's wife, Sandra; and her nieces, Tiffany, Courtney, and Chelsea. She was preceded in death by her much-loved son, Dean, and her former husband of almost four decades, Wesley.
Linda was also a favorite and will be missed by her adopted family at Sundale Senior Living community in The Woodlands, where she spent her final years receiving compassionate Alzheimer's care.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A funeral service for Linda will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home & Cemetery, 14501 N Interstate Hwy 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
