Lisa Rene (Sander) Ellis

Lisa Rene (Sander) Ellis, age 50, passed away on April 13, 2017 in Austin, Texas after living and fighting Breast Cancer and Metastatic Breast Cancer for twelve years. She was born on March 29, 1967 in Austin, Texas to Eugene C. Sander and Mary L. (Jones) Sander. She married Stephen T. Ellis on February 26, 1994.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary L. (Jones) Sander and her grandparents, James M. and Bernice (Parker) Jones and Willie and Clara (Saegert) Sander.

She is survived by her husband, Steve and their two children, Skylar Ashlee and Trace Colton; her father, Eugene C. Sander; brother, Don Sander; her mother and father-in-law, Ryan Bradford and Shirley Fullagar Ellis; aunts and uncles, Doris Randig of Taylor, Texas, Harold and Jerlene Sander of Round Rock, Texas, Kay and Steve Hardcastle of Godley, Texas, Shirley and Lenard Glaze of Lufkin, Texas and Ed Jones of Nacogdoches, Texas; and many cousins.

The family would like to thank Lisa’s oncologist of many years, Dr. Balijepalli Netaji and the staff and nurses at Texas Oncology North Austin and to Dr. Kirsten Warhoe at the Austin Cancer Center. Thank you so much for everything. Your kindness and support of the years meant so much to us. You all are like extended family.

A Celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
