I miss you more than you could ever imagine, you would have absolutely loved these boys.. can you believe I have 2 of them? They will continue to carry on the last name you have given us and I will never not let them not know about you, im torn that they will never get to meet you and receive all the love you gave all your grandkids. I know you’re with us still. You have never left me mentally. I love you dad, forever

you may be gone physically but i know your always with me spiritually , i wish you were still here so i could hug you one last time & let you know how amazing of a grandpa you were but one thing i know for sure is you’ll never be forgotten & no one can ever take your place , i love you so so so much 🥺🩷🩷

my grandpa was the most hardworking man i know. he would go out of his way to do anything for his kids , grandkids , my great grandparents , & even people he didn’t even know. there never was a dull moment with him & he would always make sure everyone was good & taken care of. i’m gonna miss visiting him at work & seeing him get on to his workers then seeing us & smiling like nothing happened , giving us big hugs , & squeezing me so hard to the point where i’d start panicking cause i couldn’t breathe & then we’d laugh after he’d let go & he’d say “what sweet pea , grandpas squeezing you too hard” .. i remember when i was younger i would pinch his chi chi’s & my grandpa would be like “ay cavrona” his laugh & voice just keeps replaying over & over in my head. i’m gonna miss & cherish all of the holidays , birthdays , & just times in general we got to spend with him , even the car rides where we’d listen to nothing but country the whole ride to wherever we would go. he has touched so many people & has made a positive impact on so many. it’s more than safe to say him & his legacy will live on forever , i thank you for all of the memories i was able to spend with you these past 18 years & i will cherish each & every one of them forever. you have beyond made me proud now i promise to make you , i love you grandpa forever & always ♾🤍

My thoughts and prayers are  with our Compadre Larry's families and friends.  I had the honor of serving as his advocate and regardless to what  issue was being dealt with, it would be put on hold if his family and work were going to be impacted.  He taught his kids to respect in order to be respected, to be responsible and dedicated to family and work. Monica, Marsha, Lil Larry, Brianna,  and CoMadre; my thoughts and prayers remain with you. May you find peace  at the end of each day.

I know Im young and for me family is everything. I wish I could have been around more. I remember when I used to see you in a dress pants and your dress shirt digging with the front loader.

I remember when you would randomly give me money because you told me "You always help your dad so much that you deserve it." I always just kept the words you told me ill never forget. You were always happy and cheerful. Especially when you would hangout with my dad. You will always be missed and remembered.

To the rest of the family we need to take the time to appreciate life and take the time to enjoy family and put our past differences aside. That way we can be a proud happy family.

Dear brother, I never did think you were gonna leave us so soon. It should have been me. When we were younger, we hanged around alot. But as we grew older, we drifted away from each other. We both had our on lives to live. But one day we will be together forever, if God's willing.  I love you carnal.🙏🙏RIP

I love you daddy. The most amazing man I’ve ever met and I will forever love you. I wish you would come back dad, I wish I could’ve said goodbye.. there’s so many unfinished things we needed to do and talk about. My hearts broken and I don’t know what to do without you. I’ll never in a million years forget you and my only comfort is you’re with Audrey.. please take care of my baby and I’m sure she’s doing the same with her popo. He was one relative of a past relationship I have never forgotten bc he was always so sweet and generous to anyone he met or saw. I remember Larry knew no strangers! He never allowed anyone to keep from saying hello to me, if we ran into each other. He was always so loving to his wife Emily. He loved all his children. He will truly be missed by many. 

I would like to send my condolences to my aunt Carmen and uncle santos and the rest of the family God has gain once again an angel. Larry had a huge loving heart with a smile you could never forget he was so full of love and very much a respetful person larry you will truly be missed but you will never be forgotten. You rest in paradise primo love you

I will always miss Larry’s beautiful smile and his hugs.   I worked with Larry for over 28 years.  He was more than a work associate, he was a dear friend.  Talking with him  first thing in the morning always started the day on the right foot.  Our conversation might be catching up on his family, landscaping advice, or him telling me about his ride that weekend and where he and Emily ate.   Larry loved his family with his whole being.    My heart is breaking and there is a hole in my life that will never be filled.  There are nicknames he had for certain people that will always hold special meaning- “Scooter”, “Blister”, and “Birdaful” are a few that come to mind.  One of his “crew” said it best ... “Larry is not gone, he is around us every where!”  I will never step foot on the grounds without feeling Larry’s presence.  Rest in peace my dear friend.  Blessings to his family and friends.  May the Lord bring peace and healing.

I cannot tell you how sorry I was to hear about your dad. I was shocked and saddened by the news.
I hope it comforts you to know that your grief is shared by all of us who knew your dad. He was a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed. I remember after my Grandpa passed away we were always at the cemetery and he would ride through to let everyone know he was going to lock up. He was always so sweet and caring. He loved each and everyone of you and it showed with all the beautiful pictures. He will always be right by your side always. Please extend my sympathy to your mom and the rest of your family. I'm sorry that my parents and I will not be able to pay our respects in person but we will be watching on live stream.

We were deeply saddened when we found out about Larry. Larry was a very hard working man and loved his family tremendously. Loved having conversations with Larry when we worked together at Cook Walden. I remember when my wife and I were looking for our plots and Larry came over to talk to us and asked us what we were doing and we told him. His response was we were too young to be looking for plots. Larry will be missed by all who has crossed paths with that wonderful man!! Please know that we will continue to pray for the family during this very difficult time and please accept our deepest condolences.

I can not believe you are gone Larry and Emily my heart goes out to you and your family, we all have shared so many good times and laughs, and our family vacations together with all the kids will never be forgotten, You and Larry have always been such an amazing couple. Uncle Larry you will be truly missed, Rest In Peace. Galen and I love you guys and we will cherish all our memories together.

To say that my dad will be missed is an understatement. There are no words that could even begin to describe the pain of knowing I'm not going to hug you again. I love you so much daddy. 

My love you are the most loving and strongest man I have ever loved. Your heart has been cherished and loved you were the air I breath , my moon , my sun now you are my stars I will dearly miss you ... fly my love and be free . I love you mi corazon . To the Castillo family, I offer my sincere condolences. Larry was a man with a big heart. As a funeral director there are many things that we have to worry about but when it came to the cemetery we never had to second guess ourselves. Larry ensured that he and his team did what was necessary to  create a lasting impression on families. 

My last conversation with Larry was in 2016 just before I transferred to Atlanta, GA. He reminded me to, "keep going. Beat the odds that are stacked against you. Hell, if I can do it, you can do it too Carlitos." We laughed and both went our ways. 

Larry will be missed by all. However, the memories, the love of his family and cook walden family will live on forever. "May the Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Larry, you will truly be missed. I treasure the memories of our chats in the cemetery office. I've always admired your strong work ethic but above all of that, I strongly admired your commitment to your wife and family. Your eyes would light up when you talked about how much you loved Emily. That's such an amazing quality and a true testiment of love.  I know life won't be the same for so many.

I first met dear Larry when I joined Cook Walden in 1991, first as their Training Director & then the Family Services Director @ Capital Parks.  What a wonderful fella to work with, always so helpful to me and to my Family Service Team. 
I know his family was his world.  Heartfelt  condolences to Emily, Santos & the rest of the family.  Vaya von Dios, Amigo. 

I knew Larry thru his voice only he was always polite and funny  when ordering product from us.

I remember the day when I first day I met Larry in 2009, I was walking around the cemetery with a clipboard in my hands  and and he greeted with a BIG  smile , he knew I was new and asked if I needed some help. 
 I told I was having  a bit a problem finding  the lot pins for a space. 
 He immediately went back to his truck and got a shovel and uncovered the lot pin.   I thanked him  for his help since who knows how long I would wandered around the cemetery.   From that day forward I knew he was one person I could depend on.   He welcomed me to Cook Walden Family and soon there after he gave me a nickname &  referred to me as " La Reina".  I could always count on his help no matter how busy he was.  One day he rescued  from an encounter with a 8 foot black snake at Memorial Hill.   I was walking to verify a space and there laid a huge snake where I needed to be. 
 I called Larry practically screaming at him.. He calmly asked
 " Where are you Janie"?  I told him and about a minute later Larry pulls up in his white truck.  He told me stay in my car  while he grabbed his shovel.  Again,  Larry to the rescue.   He said
( " Hay in  Spanish ) Janie you must have scared the snake away after you screamed".  We both laughed so hard  about it later.  

 Larry you will  be dearly missed. You were truly a great man, a  very caring person and  a wonderful friend.  Our hearts break and  we  are saddened because we lost a great man and  but Heaven has gained an Angel.   It gives me comfort  knowing you are with 
Our Heavenly Father now.  I look forward one day when we will all be all reunited.   Rest in Peace my friend Larry,

Larry was a wonderful man he had a very big heart he was always three when you needed him . He was always ready to give a helping hand to anyone that needed it he was loving family man his family was he's World he loves he's mom and dad with all his love Larry will truly be missed my prayers and my condolences to his family and his parents. Love you cuz (my big Brother ) I will miss you deeply.

We are so sad to find out that Larry has passed.  We know this is a great loss for his beloved family.  Larry loved his family and he was so proud of them all.  No sacrifice was too great for Larry to make; he could be counted on, and he was a hard worker, and devoted employee.  We met Larry when he came to have a car repaired and we became fast and good friends.  Larry was a man of honor, respect, caring, and love.  He was a very good friend.  We went on many motorcycle rides together.  Larry supported us when we opened our own business, he gave us gifts for that big step, he helped hang our signs; he always came by to visit us and check on us.  We will hear his voice say, "Jeeerrrrie" for the rest of our lives.  We miss him so much already and we love him more.  He was one of the finest men we have ever had the privilege of knowing.  May his family find comfort in their wonderful memories as to be loved by Larry was a true blessing.  God bless you, Larry, you are in the arms of God now.

Lamento mucho la muerte de su ser querido ( Sr Lorenzo Larry Castillo ) seguramente están viviendo un dolor muy profundo ya que lo cierto es que nadie está preparado para perder un ser querido en la muerte, por eso es mi deseo compartir con ustedes unos pasajes bíblicos que sin duda alguna , les ayudarán a sobrellevar el dolor y a tener una esperanza confiable en un futuro cercano.
Mire lo que dice la Biblia en Hechos 24:15: Y tengo esperanza en Dios, esperanza que también tienen estos hombres, de que va a haber una resurrección tanto de justos como de injustos. ¡ Es decir pronto dios le devolverá la vida a nuestros seres queridos! ¡ Que maravilloso es saber que pronto podremos volver abrazar a nuestros seres queridos.
