She was born in Garfield, Texas on December 15th, 1938 to parents Joe and Trinidad Ojeda. On January 12th, 1963, Lucia married the love of her life, Richard Moreno, Sr.
Lucia was a member of Dolores Catholic church in Austin, Texas. She was a devoted mother ,grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved to spend time with her family. Her other passions included gambling, her pear trees, and eating out at Chili’s and Hopdoddy’s. Lucia loved to drink Bud-lite’s with a salted rim and a slice of lime. She was a greatly beloved woman who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Preceding Lucia in death were her beloved husband of over fifty years, Richard Moreno, Sr.; her parents Joe and Trinidad Ojeda; and her siblings Ausencio Ojeda, Lydia Limon, and Mary Burdick. She is survived by her children Lynda Moreno Johnson, Stephen Moreno, Anthony Moreno, and Richard Moreno, Jr; her 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Amelia Jaramillo, Judy Parks, and Joe Ojeda, Jr
A visitation for Lucia will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A rosary will occur Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 7:00 PM, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. A committal will occur Monday, October 11, 2021 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
Lucia will be laid to rest in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
