He was born November 9, 1949 in Round Rock, Texas to Pablo and Louisa Valdez.
Mr. Valdez is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Paul Valdez, Jr. and his daughter Monique Trujillo.
He will be greatly missed by his family that survives him which includes his wife of 20 years Linda Valdez; siblings Louis Valdez and wife Socorro, Janie Gaitan, Frances Rendon, Helen Bridwell and Mary Stanley and husband Dennis; children: James Valdez and wife Vivian Hresoula Allesina and husband Carlo, Jeremiah Valdez and wife Andrea and Jacqueline Valdez; 7 grandchildren and aunts Mary Torrez and Helen Stevenson.
Manuel was a retired firefighter from the Austin Fire Department.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M., Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks with a Rosary at 7 P.M. Graveside Services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at St. Round Rock Cemetery.
