

Marian L. Wilkinson Anders passed away at the age of 89 due to heart failure at North Austin Medical Center on March 12, 2013. She was born on January 12, 1924 in Moline, Illinois to Eugene Wilkinson, Sr. and Mable Karlson Wilkinson.
She graduated from Moline High School in 1942, and then worked for Deere & Company for 4 years. Marian married Wesley M. Anders on March 5, 1944; together they lived in Moline for 17 years before moving permanently to Austin, Texas in June 1964. In May 1985, she retired from Texas Department of Human Services after 20 years. They were members of Hyde Park Christian Church since June 1964. She was an active member of Women’s Christian Fellowship.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Wesley M. Anders, her parents, Eugene and Mable, brothers, Eugene W. Wilkinson, Jr. and Roger K. Wilkinson.
Leaving to cherish Marian’s legacy are her sons, Michael of Pasadena, TX., Steven of Austin, and David and wife Tammy of Austin; daughter, Linda Taylor and husband Richard of Austin; granddaughters, April Anders and fiancé Michael Bryant, and Christie Presley and husband Mason; sister-in-law, Judy Ransdell and husband Bill of Moline, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 18, 2013 at 3:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks.
