Maricruz Perez Gomez passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, surrounded by family and friends who loved her on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas. Maricruz was 41 years of age. More tragically was the fact that she passed away just 4 days before her 42nd birthday.
Maricruz was born on November 14, 1976 in Juventino Rosas, GTO, Mexico to Jacinto Gomez Hernandez and Vicenta Perez Gomez.
Maricruz was a graduate of Reagan High School. She was employed as an IT client support Consultant. She will always be remembered for the love of her family and her unique style and love for celebrating every holiday and occasion to the fullest, her contagious joy for life, laugh, and smile. She was always positive and could light up any room upon entering it and made sure to greet every person in it. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to both parents, Maricruz is survived by her daughter; Yvette Leal of Austin, Texas, three brothers; Octavio Gomez and his wife Cindy of Austin, Texas, Oscar Gomez of Austin, Texas and Christopher Gomez of Austin, Texas, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation and celebration of her life for family and friends will take place at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary service being recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, 2208 East 2nd Street, Austin, Texas 78702. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
