

Tuesday, December 13, 2016, Marvin Clarence Heintze, 92, of Austin, was called home by his Lord. Marvin was born in the New Bern Community, just northwest of Thrall, TX, on June 7, 1924 to the late Oscar Heintze and Ida (Synatzske) Heintze.
Marvin was baptized, confirmed and married by Rev. F.H. Steltzer in Thorndale, TX. He married Dorothy Mae Lehman on March 13, 1955 and was married for 49 years. He was also blessed with four children. His passion was farming, gardening and telling stories about his life, achievements and stories about his Lord and Savior.
Marvin was always a salesman at heart. He was employed with the Alcoa Plant for 7 years. He retired from Sears Roebuck & Company in Austin after 28 years of service. He served as Chairman of American Legion Men’s Club. He was a member of Our Savior Jet Set, Sears Retiree Club, Lodge 187 SPJST of Round Rock and the Church Youth League. He was also a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a founding member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, serving as an elder in both. He served in the Armed Forces.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae; his parents and also two daughters, Cheryln Heintze and Becky Heintze.
He is survived by daughter, Charlotte Huggett; son, Kim David Heintze and wife Debra; grandchildren, Daniel and Matthew Huggett, Austin and Allison Heintze.
His family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Anderson Lane, Austin, TX. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Park Cemetery in Pflugerville.
