Mary Acosta, 72, passed away on July 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 30, 1954, Mary lived a life defined by love, compassion, unwavering faith, and devotion to her family.
To know Mary was to know unconditional love. She was the heart of her family as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, caring sister, and loyal friend. Guided by a strong Catholic faith, she faced life's joys and challenges with quiet grace, finding strength in God's love and sharing that strength with those around her. Her greatest happiness came from caring for those she loved, and she never hesitated to put their needs before her own. Her gentle spirit, quiet strength, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Luis Cisneros and Juanita Gonzalez, and by her beloved husband, Johnny Acosta.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Acosta (Rebecca Brown-Acosta) and Michael Acosta (Martha Acosta); her daughters, Monica Acosta (Eliseo Perez) and Stephanie Acosta; her cherished grandchildren, Monique Perez, Jasmine Acosta, Mark Myles Acosta, Vanessa Acosta, John Michael Acosta, Haylee Perez, and Christopher Acosta; her beloved great-grandchildren, Xavier Sanchez, Trae Perez Rocero, Kaiden Sanchez, Tarentino Rocero, Terez Perez Rocero, Gabriel Martinez, Khali Rodriguez, and Tianna Perez Rocero; her siblings, Nelly Menchaca, Rachel Cisneros, and Luis Cisneros; and numerous extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that, just weeks after saying goodbye to Johnny, Mary is once again reunited with the love of her life after 57 years of marriage. Together again, they leave behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue to guide and inspire all who knew them.
