Mary Linda Gabriel found eternal rest on September 5, 2019 surrounded by her family.

Mary was born in Cuero, Texas on October 27, 1948. She spent 25 years as a home health professional providing care and compassion to sick and suffering. Mary was known by all for her feisty spirit, fierce loyalty, and incredible generosity. She took great pride in looking glamorous; always wearing the best jewelry and makeup. Mary laughed through life and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She embraced her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews as her own. Mary’s family has many memories to cherish and too many stories to tell about the laughter she brought to a room. Mary was beloved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by daughter, Mary Harris and husband David; and son, Pete Salas and wife Alejandra; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Micaela Leon, Hope Rodriguez, Lydia Jaramillo and husband Antonio; brothers, Clifford Gabriel, Jose Gabriel and wife Barbara, Juan Gabriel and wife Claudia, Frank Gabriel, Robert Guerra and wife Loriann, Rudy Guerra and wife Cecilia; as well as, many nieces and nephews who she adored and loved dearly.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Carmen Gabriel; brothers, Jesse and Paul Gabriel and sisters-in-law, Rachel and Eva Gabriel, Ernest Rodriguez, Sr. and Phillip Leon.

Pallbearers will be Ernest Rodriguez, Jr., Larry Garcia, Joseph Arriola, Tony Lee Jaramillo, Joey Gabriel, and Juanito Gabriel. Honorary Pallbearer is Ron Rodriguez.

The family would like to sincerely thank the ICU nurses and doctors from Dell Seton-Medical Center who cared for Mary in her last days.
