Matthew recently moved to Hutto, Texas, to be with family. Prior to moving to Texas Matthew lived 47 years in Milpitas, California. He was employed at the NASA base at Moffett Field, California for 33 years in Protective Services.
He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on February 8, 1948, the son of Ernest Paul Sabo and Margaret Theresa (Morris) Sabo. On February 28, 1981, he married Elaine (Shukait) Sabo in Sunnyvale, California.
Matthew lived his life with honorable dedication. He knew how to balance it all with a kind heart and an easy going attitude. He had an awesome sense of humor and a memorable smile that came with a twinkle in his eyes.
He enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and shared these joys with his daughter and his grandchildren. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Elaine; daughter, Megan and son-in-law, Derrick; grandchildren, Jordan, Natalie and Jackson; and his siblings, Paul, Jack, Barbara, Tom, Peigi and Sheila, as well as innumerable friends.
A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 in the Walden Room of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas.
