Maurice Evans was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on December 23, 1955. He departed his life on May 18, 2023, following his struggle with cancer. He attended public Schools in Louisville, Kentucky. He was the third oldest child of seven children. Born to William and Frances Evans of Louisville, Kentucky.
After graduating high school, he joined the U.S. Army. He was honorably discharged, and then went to work for the U.S. Postal Service where he worked for 32 years. He was also a disabled Veteran.
He professed a hope and faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. On October 4, 1986, he was joined in holy matrimony to Brenda Davis, where they were married for 37 years.
Preceding him in death are his father, William Sr., his mother, Frances Evans; and his brother, William Evans, Jr.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Brenda Evans; his daughters, Quiana and Destiny Evans of Austin, Texas; two sons, Chris Hill and Michael Hughes; sisters, Teresa Evans, Charlene (Robert) LaVaughn, and Sheila (Frank) Derrick of Louisville, Kentucky; two brothers, James and Timothy Evans of Kentucky; numerous grandchildren; one great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
