Michael James was a family man. He showed his love through his actions—by working hard, being present, and always being willing to help. He also had a great sense of humor, often trying to make people laugh and lighten the moment.
He had a deep love for the outdoors. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing, and many of the most meaningful memories shared with him were spent on the water. Fishing trips with Mike were about more than catching fish; they were about time together, conversation, stories, and laughter.
He is survived by his wife, Chil Ye; his children, Corine and Michael; his son-in-law, Brett; and his four grandchildren, Abby, Samantha, Jacob, and Zachary.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, selflessness, and laughter that lives on through his family and the many people he helped along the way. Mike James will be remembered for the way he worked, the way he showed up, and the way he took care of the people in his life.
Mike could out-fish you with a beat-up pole, a noisy reel, and the wrong line, and he’d laugh the whole time while you wondered how he did it.
