Michael Dean Starkweather

Mike served in the US Air Force from 1973 – 1978. After his service at NORAD in Colorado, Mike moved to Austin and married Karla (Kramp) on May 25, 1980. His beloved son, Nicholas, was born on February 21, 1987, and was a major source of joy in his life.

Mike was an electrician for more than 25 years. His life was filled with love, laughter and happiness.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karla, son and daughter-in-law, Nicholas and Leigh, mother and stepfather, Mary and Fred Johnson, mother-in-law, Nelva Kramp, sister-in-law and husband, Lisha and Roger Pitts, sister, Judy Alexander, brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Shelly Starkweather, his cat, Jack, and a host of wonderful friends, neighbors and relatives.

Services and burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Walnut Creek Baptist Church located at 12062 N. Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas, 78753.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Hospice (866-678-0505, 2913 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas, 78628, or to Walnut Creek Baptist Church.
