

Born in Perry, Georgia on July 24, 1947, Miller was the son of Miller Lawrence Dixon Jr., and Bessie Mae (Cain) Dixon. His parents preceded him in death as did his 16 year old sister, Bessie Lynn Dixon.
Miller graduated from Houston High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Fort Valley State University. He married Mauricia Mendieta on March 10, 1984. Miller had a career as a systems analyst for a number of companies, most notably Rockwell International, Phillips Petroleum, EMC2, and Continuum. He had a passion for photography, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, jazz music, dancing, and lighthouses.
Miller is survived by his children, Allen Fitzgerald Dixon, Gerald Gary Dixon, Jennifer Mauricia Dixon, and Adrianna Ericely Dixon; his grandchildren, Darius Edwin MaGee, Destiny Brianna MaGee, and Joshua Wade Roberson, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Carolyn Wynn, Milledge Dixon, Brenda Johnson, Alfred Dixon, Sr., and Janet Dixon, along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Friends may pay their respects between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Services celebrating Miller’s life will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday evening at the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home. Other services will be private.
