

Molly Burress Wallace, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, entered rest on May 19, 2015 at the age of 63 years. A native of Austin, she was born to Tommy and Muriel Burress on October 3, 1951. Graduated from Cooper High School Abilene, 1969, McMurray College, 1973 and received her Master’s Degree in Education from University of Texas. Molly was Miss Abilene Universe 1971. She taught special education at Annie Purl Elementary in Georgetown TX, and at RRISD for 17 years; most recently the behavior specialist at Chisolm Trail Middle School. She had a very special place in her heart for every student she taught, and her love for special needs children was unwavering.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survived by her loving family, sister, Betty Vanna Glass of Austin, TX; brother, Billy Burress of Colorado; daughters, Meredith Powell of Georgetown TX, Lacey Hammerlun and husband, Greg of Fort Worth, TX, Reagan Fuller and husband Jason, of Georgetown TX; son, John Boyd of Brenham, TX. She was most proud to be called “Mimi” and loved and cherished every moment with her grandchildren: Cooper Powell, Rory Hammerlun, Rylee Hammerlun, Harrison Fuller, and Blakely Fuller.
She loved to spread Joy through laughter and will be missed by all that knew her. The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. –E.E Cummings
