

In 1968, She moved from Marion, Ohio, to Austin, Texas. She started her career at Anderson-Wormley, a real estate and insurance company, while attending Nixon-Clay Business College. She went on to have a 31-year career as an accountant for the Texas Health Department. In 2003, she retired as the chief accountant for the HIV/AIDS department. She also worked part-time for Foley's department store. She was a founding member who served on the board of directors for the Texas Health Credit Union in Austin, Texas. She spent her retirement years traveling, cooking, and playing bridge.
Mosell departed this life on July 30, 2023. She leaves behind a son, Desmond Cofer (Rebecca), a grandson, LeAndrew Hamilton-Cofer (Ashley), a great-grandson, Marcellus Cofer, and surrogate grandson, Travis Cofer. Sisters: Bessie Cofer, Margie Cofer, and Carla Cofer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Mosell will be laid to rest on August 12, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 1164 San Bernard St., Austin, Texas 78702. Viewing will be on August 11, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at
