

Nance Beasley, Jr., age 93, was called home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2012. He was born on October 18, 1918 in Beeville, Texas to the late Nance and Susie Mae Beasley. He was one of eight children.
He married Aggie Rae Roy in 1946, also from Beeville. He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Nancy Brown of Austin, Lawrence “Bubba” Beasley of Beeville, Jeffery Scott Beasley of Los Angeles, California, Darryl (Deena) Beasley of Austin and Mark Dana Beasley of Austin.
He served in the U.S. Army in WWII from 1942-1945 and was stationed in Italy. He served with the Buffalo Division’s 15th Cavalry. His unit was stationed right outside the Leaning Tower of Pisa. During that time, he also traveled Northern Italy playing baseball for the Military.
Nance used to work at Hancock Golf in Austin. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed a good game of dominoes. Nance was a longtime member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church in Beeville, Texas.
He also leaves to cherish his precious memories Shirley Jefferson, stepdaughter, Harriett Beasley, grandchildren, Veronica, Monica, Craig, Jay, Farrah, Bryan, Alyssa, Madison and Sydney; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends whose lives he touched.
