Nellie Marie “Terbay” Hepner, of Lockhart, Texas, left us to go to our Heavenly Father on November 17, 2017.
Nellie was the only daughter born to Edward Tannous Terbay Sr. and Julia Marie Bashara Terbay in Austin, Texas on January 22nd 1941. She had four brothers; Edward, Cecil, Bob, and Alvin.
She met the love of her life Earl Hepner, an Air Force firefighter and crash rescue out of Bergstrom Airforce Base, and was married on December 27th 1959. Together they began their family and had six children; Theresa, Tammy, Earl “Sonny”, Bobby, Troy and Freddie.
She was a devoted mother, cherished sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was not just a mother of two daughters and four sons. She was also the mother of the neighborhood children or any child that happened to walk through her door. She was a sister, aunt, cousin and the best friend that anyone could ever have. No matter what the circumstance Nellie would never have bad thoughts or judge. Nellie would always say “no matter what her love was never ending.”
She enjoyed drinking her morning coffee while saying her rosary, crocheting, going to Coushatta with her sister-in-law Cathy, playing and cheating at card games with her grandchildren, where the rules always seemed to change, visits to Luling and around Lockhart with Lola and Joe Larivee. Nellie was a long time contributor to St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
