Ngoc Lau Nguyen King died peacefully in Pflugerville, Texas on September 9, 2020 at the age of 69.

She is survived by her husband, Robert King; children: Marvin Berry of Austin, Texas, Elizabeth MacKey of Del Valle, Texas and Monaca King Cruz (Louis Cruz) of Manor, Texas; and 15 siblings of Saigon Vietnam. Lau is also loved and survived by her grandchildren: Mardisia Berry, Anthony King, Marlena Berry, Mia Cruz, Jalen Leonard, Aidan King-Cruz, Deoni Leonard, Landon King Cruz, Sophia King-Cruz.

Lau was born on June 11, 1951 in Saigon, Vietnam to her parents, Tang Phuoc Nguyen and Ty Thi Lam. She married Robert King, an electronic technician in 1980. After moving to Austin Texas, Lau began working for Motorola in Quality Assurance and manufacturing . Her children remember her as a kind person who loved to cook, sing Karaoke, dance, and travel. Everyone who knew Lau knew her as a caring person who will do anything for those she loved.

Her celebration of life will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2020 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas with Minister James A Mackey officiating the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lau’s life.

The family would like to thank caregivers and nurses of Traditions Hospice for their care.
