Nigel is the son of Patricia A. Hollis, and adopted son of Donald W. Lewis. Nigel is the father of Sakura HInata Lewis, brother of Shamika T. Fehr, and brother of Murshid S. Normand. Nigel is the extended brother of Emma DuPont, Wilbert E. Normand, Jr., Sana Cooper-Cheatwood, Horace A. Lowery, Stephanie Armstrong, and LaTonya Tucker. Nigel is survived by: Brother-in-Law Tony Fehr, Niece: Alexis D. Fehr, Nephew: Khalil J. Fehr, best friend of over 20 years Casey Rowe, Supremna Marine, and a host of extended family, friends, and co-workers.
Nigel attended Saint Paul’s Catholic School, and Delaware’s Public Middle & High Schools in Wilmington, and New Castle Delaware. He continued his education at Lincoln University (Pennsylvania) and graduated May 3, 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree. Nigel was inducted year 1990 as a member of Omega Psi Phi Beta Chapter Fraternity.
Nigel was employed 20.7 years as a State of Texas employee with 16+ years at Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services in the role as Manager of General Ledger Accounting, and 4.4 years at Texas Department of Transportation in the role as Revenue Management Lead.
Nigel enjoyed football, animee, and various computer games. He loved, cherished, and, enjoyed his role as father to his daughter, Sakura. He enjoyed being with family and friend(s).
A memorial service will be held in Nigel's honor at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nigel’s family.
