Nora Elizabeth Schroeder, age 91, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Nora was born October 19, 1928 in Williamson County to Henry and Olga (Gustafson) Schiller. She was a lifelong resident of the Williamson and Travis County area. On October 30, 1948 she married the love of her life, Ewald Fritz Schroeder in Copeland, Texas. Nora worked many years as a cashier for Winn’s and also worked in the cafeteria at Molly Barrington Elementary School. She and Ewald enjoyed going dancing and shooting pool. Nora had a green thumb and loved growing beautiful flowers. In addition, she was an avid collector of stuffed bears and coffee mugs. One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming a Breast Cancer Survivor. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
Nora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister. Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Pattie Elizabeth Brooks of Nashville, TN, Susan Evon Schroeder of Austin, TX and Barbara Ann Cryer and her husband Barry of Jarrell, TX; 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Cook Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with interment following at Cook Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
