Moeta will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her husband of 76 years, Robert R. "Bob" Smith, predeceased her in 2010. She is survived by daughter, Sherlyn Jones, and husband, Richard; son, Hance Smith and wife, Kimberly; grandsons, Brandon Rush Jones and Cameron David Jones and wife, Monica; and great-granddaughters, Peyton Shyla Jones and Sutton Ava Jones. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Moeta graduated from high school, married at the age of 16, and was a homemaker while raising her family. She later successfully sold real estate for most of her professional life, specializing in resort property. She and Bob owned Smith Realty near Lake Travis for many years. Upon retirement, Moeta and Bob traveled extensively in their motor home, and especially enjoyed Las Vegas where Moeta loved to play the slot machines. She also later enjoyed playing Bingo several times a week and attending Red Hat Club luncheons.
Moeta was an amazing woman who impressed everyone she met with her outgoing personality, sense of humor, and love of life. She was one of 12 children, and she loved her immediate and extended family more than anything in life. Moeta’s family would like to thank Windsor Nursing Center and Heart to Heart Hospice for their outstanding care of her and their support for the family.
