Owen Carl Schlomach, age 89 of Pflugerville, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 1, 2020 after a battle with Parkinson's and Dementia. Owen was born in Burnet, Texas and he proudly served his country in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mabel Schlomach; his wife, Rosemary E. Schlomach; sister, Joyce Izell; and brothers, Dale Schlomach, Roger B. Schlomach and Johnny Schlomach. Owen is survived by his two sons, Michael Schlomach and wife Kathy and Ronny Schlomach; three daughters, Deborah Cates and husband Lynn, Dorenda Schlomach and Elaina Mitchell and husband Tony; grandchildren, Katie and Amber Schlomach, Calvin Cates, Christopher, Stephanie, David, Jason and Jessica Mitchell; great great grandchildren, Sophia and Teddy; and many other loving relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 8, 2020 in the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home with Daniel Roucloux officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to the family to help offset expenses.
