Patrice Tené Lloyd

Patrice Tené Lloyd was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 6, 1967 to her parents, Hollis and Barbara Lloyd, and excitedly welcomed by her brother, Quin, and sisters, Chari and Dawn. Although Patrice came into the world weighing a mere 3 pounds, 5 ½ ounces, despite her tiny start and petite stature, her capacity to love was due to her huge heart and unconditional acceptance of everyone. Patrice’s family moved to Austin in 1970, where she attended school until the age of 21, graduating from the Clifton Center in 1988.

In 1993, Patrice moved to San Antonio and became a resident in an exceptional Council Oaks Group Home for the next 30 years. Her housemates quickly became dear friends and a second family. God ushered a great sense of peace to our family by knowing that Patrice was cared for by loving, wonderful staff who treated her as if she was their own.

As our family relocated to Fort Worth, Patrice also made the move to Fort Worth in January of 2023. She spent the past year as a resident of Heritage House At Keller, where their staff also adopted Patrice, who diligently and beautifully cared for her many needs. We did not anticipate what a gift to her and to us these nineteen months would be, as again God revealed to the family that this was His divine appointment for her. This was precisely the right time and the right place for Patrice until He called her home on August 1st, 2024 at the age of 57.

Awaiting her arrival in Heaven, Patrice’s adoring father, Hollis Lloyd, and her grandparents joyfully welcomed her into the presence of Jesus. Sending Patrice forward and remaining behind are her mother, Barbara Lloyd Warren, and her husband, Dub Warren; brother, Quin Lloyd and sister-in-love, Pam Lloyd; sister Chari Johnson and husband, Larry Johnson; sister Dawn McNutt and her husband, Jeff McNutt; along with numerous extended family members.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2024 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. The funeral service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Longhorn Room of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home. Patrice will then be laid to rest in Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
